“I’ll make you laugh when I run”…Son Heung-min’s Final Letter for the Year of the Kye Myo

South Korea national soccer team captain Son Heung-min (Tottenham) has said he will “continue to bring happiness and laughter” to South Korean fans after playing his last A-match in 2023.

Son posted a lengthy letter to his fans on social media on Feb. 22. Son had scored two goals and provided an assist in South Korea’s 3-0 victory over China in the second qualifying match for the 2026 FIFA North American Football Confederations Cup the previous day (Nov. 21).토토사이트

The match against China was South Korea’s last A match of the year. “We finished the last game of the 2023 National Team in China,” said Son Heung-min. “The November national team call-up was colder than ever, but we spent it warm and happy thanks to your love.”

“I’m so happy that the sport of soccer can be loved so much,” said Son Heung-min. “As long as I’m playing, I want to share my positive energy with as many people as possible,” he said.

“I want to make (fans) happy, I want to make them smile,” he said, adding, “I know it’s a lot of responsibility. I know it’s a lot of responsibility, but I’m here because of your support.”

“Thank you for making me feel important every time,” he said, adding, “The 2023 national team made me so happy. I hope we can laugh a lot and be happy together in 2024. I love you, Korea,” he added.

Led by head coach Jürgen Klinsmann, the South Koreans will attempt to win their first title in 63 years at the 2023 AFC Asian Cup in Qatar, which kicks off next January. South Korea lifted the Asian Cup trophy in the inaugural edition (1956) and the second edition (1960).
