The Minnesota Twins of Major League Baseball have battled back in the Division Series.
Minnesota defeated Houston 6-2 in Game 2 of the best-of-five American League Division Series (ALDS) behind two-hit performances from Pablo Lopez and Carlos Correa at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas, USA.
Having avenged a Game 1 loss and evened the series, Minnesota will look to reverse the series in Games 3 and 4 at home on Nov. 13-14.
Minnesota opened the scoring in the top of the first inning when Correa hit a two-run double to left-center field, and Kyle Palmer followed with a two-run homer to left in the second to make it 3-0.
In the fifth, Correa doubled up the middle with one out, and Minnesota scored again in the seventh on an RBI single by pinch-hitter Edouard Jullien to make it 6-0.
Houston avoided the shutout in the bottom of the eighth when Jordan Alvarez hit a two-run homer to left field.
Alvarez, who also homered in Game 1, continued his strong fall ball with three homers in Game 2 of the division series.
Minnesota starter Lopez pitched seven innings, striking out seven and allowing six hits to earn the win.
Minnesota slugger Correa, a Houston native, went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs in the win over his hometown team.
The Texas Rangers won 11-8 over the visiting Baltimore Orioles, led by Mitch Garber’s grand slam.
After sweeping Games 1 and 2 at home, Texas needs just one win in Games 3 and 4 at Globe Life Field in Arlington to advance to the American League Championship Series (ALCS – best-of-seven).
Baltimore got on the board in the first inning when Aaron Hicks hit a two-run double.
But Texas quickly took control, scoring a whopping nine runs in the second and third innings.
After a two-run double by Leandro Tavares in the second inning made it a one-run game, Garber, Adolis Garcia, and Jonah Heim hit three straight RBI singles to make it 5-2.
In the third, with one out, Garber hit a grand slam to make it 9-2.

Garber, batting third for Texas, went 2-for-5 with a walk-off home run and five RBIs to lead his team to victory.
