Former Samsung pitcher Lively moves to minor league Triple A… may declare free agency after World Series

The Cincinnati Reds announced on the 19th (Korean time) that KBO Samsung Lions right-handed pitcher Ben Lively was sent to Triple A.

Lively will have the opportunity to declare minor league free agency after the World Series.

Lively becomes the sixth player Cincinnati has removed from the 40-man roster this offseason, joining Vladimir Gutierrez, Allen Buzenitz, Justin Dunn, Brett Kennedy and Connor Overton.

Lively is evaluated as having played an important role in Cincinnati this season. He pitched 88 2/3 innings, good for sixth on the team.

Lively, who returned to MLB this year after 2019, appeared in 19 games (12 starts) and recorded an ERA of 5.38.

After three seasons with KBO Samsung, Lively signed a minor league contract for 2022 with Cincinnati, which first drafted him in 2014.

Lively, who spent the season in Triple A that year, was called up to the big leagues in mid-May this year, four years after he last pitched in the major leagues.토토사이트

But his injuries caught up with him.

While his 2023 stat line may not be very impressive, Lively has proven that he can still be an innings eater at the major league level.
