Jang Hyun-soo overcomes illness and is about to join Qatar’s prestigious club Al Garafa

Former South Korean center back Jang Hyun-soo is undergoing a trial with Al Gharafa, a Qatari club where Koo Ja-cheol once played.

According to Middle Eastern media outlet Gulf 365, Jang is currently in Doha and is close to signing a contract with Al Gharafa. Al Gharafa also hinted at the impending signing on social media, saying, “If Jang Hyun-soo is ready to play, he will replace Brazilian center back Lienko.”굿모닝토토 주소

Jang has been playing for Saudi Arabia’s top-flight Al-Hilal since 2019, having previously played for FC Tokyo (Japan) and Guangzhou Puri (China). He has played 146 official matches for the club, winning numerous trophies including the Saudi Arabian Professional League and the AFC Champions League.

Jang’s career took a hit when he was recently diagnosed with a lymph gland tumor. He was unable to re-sign with Al Hilal and became a free agent. However, with Al Hilal providing medical support for his recovery, the player has recently regained his health as he tries to make a comeback. Since then, he has received interest from several overseas clubs, including Besiktasi JK, but it seems that he is closing in on joining Al Gharafa.

Al Gharafa is a team with ties to Al Rayyan in Doha, Qatar. They have won the Qatar Stars League seven times and have star players such as Algerian attacking midfielder Yacine Brahimi, who scored a goal against South Korea at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. The head coach is Portugal’s Pedro Martins.
